To the editor:
My friend, Carly, and I are writing you on our way home from Oak Island to Washington, D.C. On our way, we had some car trouble off of the highway and pulled off just in time for our Jetta to die.
The first lovely Samaritan to stop and offer assistance was no other than Teresa Bass (on her birthday, nonetheless!). After a few minutes, her husband, Kenny Bass (and their dog Mi), also stopped to assist. Two hours and a trip to a tow garage later, they saw us off back on our way to Washington, D.C.
We cannot thank them enough for their company and generosity. They told us an adorable story of Teresa’s father, who helped a woman years ago by handing over the keys to his Cadillac and bag phone when she was in a bind. To thank him, the woman wrote to the local paper to highlight his generosity.
Carly and I would love the opportunity to do the same. If you could help us get this story in The Daily Record, we would greatly appreciate it.
