Spring Hill Methodist Church will hold its first shrimp and oyster roast on Thursday, March 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Spring Hill Church. Tickets are $50 in advance or $55 at the door for all-you-can-eat. Bring your own utensils.

Coats-Erwin UM to
host pancake dinner
The Coats-Erwin United Methodist Youth will host a pancake dinner on Tuesday, March 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. to support its summer mission project at the Hinton Center. It will be held at the Erwin UMC Family Life Center, 600 Denim Drive, Erwin. Tickets cost $8. You can buy them in advance from a youth member or purchase them at the dinner. It is dine-in or take-out.
Pastor anniversary celebration set
Anderson Creek Christian Center announces the eighth year of pastorship for Pastor Angela Blue. The celebration will begin Sunday with Pastor David Murphy and Purpose of Praise Ministries beginning at 10:45 a.m. The celebration will climax on that evening at 4 p.m. with Apostle William T. Ford and Kingdom Global Impact Ministries. This service will be held at 1680 Will Lucas Road, Linden.
Gospel sing canceled
at St. John
The gospel sing scheduled Sunday at St. John PH Church has been canceled. Organizers will reschedule a performance by the Hickory Grove Quartet at a later date.
Ushers anniversary postponed
The ushers anniversary that was scheduled for Sunday at Davis Chapel Holiness Church in Lillington has been postponed due to the coronavirus. It will be rescheduled at a later date.
Women’s Conference scheduled
Littlefield MB Church is planning a Women’s Conference March 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The speakers will be Evangelist Joyce Monroe of Increasing Word Ministries of Fayetteville and Alnita M. Johnson, life coach of Raleigh. The theme is “There’s A Gem in You” (2 Corinthians 4:7). A continental breakfast and lunch will be served. Vendors will also be present.
The women of the Hood’s Grove Baptist WMU will hold a pancake and sausage supper and auction on March 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hood’s Grove Baptist Church for a donation. Musician appreciation program set
Nehemiah Building Ministries has planned a musician appreciation program March 28 at 5 p.m. at the church, 2225 N.C. Highway 55 East, Dunn. Join Pastor Peterkin and Lady Peterkin along with the Nehemiah Church family as they honor and celebrate their musicians: Mary “Mookie” McLean, keyboard player and organist; Deacon Devon Covington, drummer and sound system; Deacon Guana Spence, drummer; and Keveante Crayton, drummer.

Gospel concert planned
for March 29
The Mother Ministry of Lillington Star FWB Church has planned a gospel concert March 29 at 3 p.m. Featured will be Elmond Pipkin and the Spiritual Crusaders. The Lillington Star Male Chorus will also be on the program.

Calvary Baptist Church
Calvary Baptist Church is canceling its country buffet breakfast set for Saturday, March 28, due to the coronavirus and the governor’s directive asking that all events of 100 or more people be canceled. The congregation’s prayer and utmost concern is that everyone takes the precautions needed to keep themselves, their families and communities safe and healthy, according to a release from the church. Calvary Baptist is located on N.C. Highway 55 east of Dunn near the N.C. Highway 242 intersection. The Rev. Jerry Hicks is the pastor.
