BUIES CREEK— After a convincing 15-5 win over Stetson, Campbell lacrosse players Kennedy Boyle, Ally Heath and Julianna Sanchez have swept the Big South’s player of the week awards.

Boyle claimed Big South Defensive Player of the Week honors, pacing the Campbell defense with three ground balls and two caused turnovers. The fourth-year junior helped deny Stetson a goal in the run of play, with all five goals coming off free position attempts. The CU defense allowed forced 22 turnovers.

Heath was named Big South Offensive Player of the Week after posting a game-high four points on two goals and two assists for the Camels. Three of Heath’s four points came in Campbell’s decisive 7-0 second half run, including two assists and a goal.

The redshirt freshman added a ground ball and a caused turnover in the win.

After tying a school record with 13 draw controls, Sanchez was named Big South Freshman of the Week. A third-year attacker, Sanchez added two goals, an assist and three ground balls in Saturday’s win over Stetson.

Campbell dominated the draw 18-4, and possession in the game, firing off 34 total shots, compared to 13 for the Hatters. With two goals against the Hatters, Sanchez has posted multiple goals in both outings this season, and eight times in 11 career games.

The Camels return home on Feb. 28, hosting Davidson.
