Midway Pentecostal Holiness Church welcomed the Rev. Steve Dixon and family as its new lead pastor Sunday, Sept. 29, during the morning worship hour.
Rev. Dixon and his wife, Leah Fye Dixon, are from the Dunn area and they have two daughters, Anna Faith Dixon, 14, and Noel Alyce Dixon, 10.
Dixon, an Emmanuel College graduate, also works with Falcon Christian Academy as a middle school history, Bible and technology teacher. Leah Dixon, a Campbell University graduate, has taught math in the Exceptional Children’s program for nine years at Dunn Middle School.
Rev. Dixon is the son of John and Fran Dixon of Plain View and the grandson of the late Millard and Dorothy Stone Dixon of Dunn and the late Robie and Garnie Cooper Butler of Salemburg.
This Sunday, Midway Church will have a “Meet and Greet” covered dish meal right after the 11 a.m. service. The church extends a welcome to Pastor Dixon and invites the public to come and meet the new pastor and his family. Midway Church is located at 4371 N.C. Highway 55, Dunn.
