A visual display showing the number of babies aborted each day will be erected on the corner of Cumberland Avenue and South Ellis Avenue during at least the first week of October (and possibly the entire month). The display will be created using flags to represent the 120 babies who lost their lives through abortion in the last hour. This exhibit will show only a small fraction of the 50,000,000 plus babies that have been legally killed since Jan. 22, 1973, but it is still both visually and mentally stunning.
While there is expected to be some who do not appreciate the message shown, the display is meant only to show the reality of abortion and the babies who die by it. October is Respect Life Month. Please take extra time to pray for the end to abortion and perhaps reach out to assist pregnancy support centers in your community.
Life Chain will be this Sunday (Respect Life Sunday) from 9:30 to 11a.m. along the sidewalks of Cumberland Avenue (U.S. Highway 421), beginning at the intersection of 421 McKay Ave., Dunn. Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life individuals standing for 90 minutes praying for our nation and for an end to abortion. It is a visual statement of solidarity by the Christian community that abortion kills children and that the church supports the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception until natural death.
