Worth Odell Parker, 88, of Olmsted Township, Ohio, formerly of San Francisco, California, and Godwin passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019, in Westlake, Ohio.
He was born in Johnston County, beloved son of the late Gladys Henretta (nee Gilmore) Parker and James Daniel Parker, and was preceded in death by a sister, Rochelle P. McLamb.
Odell was a Korean Conflict Navy veteran, retired director of International Franchising with Burger King, and retired sales associate with Macy’s. He will be remembered as a gentleman and a scholar, and for his devotion to family, and an endeared friend to many across the globe.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home by the Rev. Tom Wagoner. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens.
He is survived by a niece, Evelyn Gough (Jeff) of Olmsted Township, Ohio; great nieces and nephews, Jennifer Gebbie (Sean) of Columbia Station, Ohio, and their three children (Tyler, Mackenzie and Alexandra), Stephen Gough of San Francisco, Heather Hostetler (Jonathan) and their daughter (Amelia).
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
